Who am I? Irfan and Sakina
Bike : Bajaj Pulsar 150

Trip Log : It all began on 20th September, 2009, when I and my wife decided to make a trip from Kolkata to Bangalore. We booked our Tatkal tickets from Howrah on the 23rd to reach Bangalore on the 25th. While I was reading the BIKE India magazine, I came across an article about two friends who did a seven day trip from Bangalore-Coorg-Mangalore-Oooty-Bangalore and planned accordingly for our journey that would take us from Bangalore-Coorg-Bandipur-Bangalore. We headed for our adventure on my brother-in-law’s Pulsar 150cc. We started on the Mysore-Bangalore highway around 2.00 in the afternoon and were heading for Madekeri (Coorg), but had to halt in Mysore due to heavy rainfall. After checking in at Cauvery Hotel, we went to see the Mysore Palace.
On 26th September, we started for Madekeri at 5.00 am. We reached Kushalnagar at 8.00 am, had breakfast and headed straight towards our destination where we had arranged for a house stay with the help of my sister-in-law. We had a wonderful time enjoying the scenic beauty, the aroma of the coffee plantations, the Durumbe Forest, the Nisargadama and the many beautiful views on the way. After a lunch break, we went to Kushal Nagar to see the beautiful Buddhist monastery and the colony.
On the 27th, we headed towards Bandipur Forest where we had booked a room at MC Resorts. During the next day’s early morning jungle safari, we saw various animals including peacocks, kingfishers, deer, sambar, bisons and a small herd of elephants. The next day, we started back for Bangalore. On the way, we visited the Gopal Krishna temple where one feels heaven (nothing to exaggerate). Finally, we reached Bangalore in the evening after covering a total distance of 853km in four days.
