Vibgyor vehicles introduced two new motorcycles – a 125cc ‘Hunter’ and a 150cc ‘Shark’ recently. The bikes were unveiled by none other than ‘the Bengal tiger’, Saurav Ganguly, who happens to be the brand ambassador of the company. The ‘Hunter’ and the ‘Shark’ are priced at Rs 41,990 and Rs 49,000 (ex-showroom Kolkata) respectively.
Both the bikes will be 4 stroke single cylinder with 5 speed transmission. Other basic commonalities include electric start options and front disc brakes. While the 125cc churns out a power of 7.2 kw at 9000 rpm, the bigger model generates 9.6 kw at 9500 rpm. Hunter would be available in two colors – red and black along with its digital speedometer and gear indicators. While, Shark sports an aerodynamic craft along with its aluminum silencer. Shark would be available in two color combinations of red-black and yellow-black. Both the bikes are believed to be available for delivery February onwards.
During the launch, the company also announced that they are open to export options to countries like Nepal, Bangladesh and African nations. It is also considering options of introducing a high end 200cc bike by the second half of the next fiscal. The group was last known to have launched a 100cc bike by the name ‘Gallop’ in March 09 which was then priced at Rs 28,999 (ex-showroom Kolkata). Reportedly, the group has 521 dealers across the country.
